Episode #7 of Tekchako Lakes Radio is a special news report from Sowchea Elementary School in Fort St. James. Tune in as Ben, Quintana, Warren and Gabriella share the latest news from Sowchea.

They celebrated the passing of the olympic torch through Fort St. James, a new addition to the local speed skating oval, a special person at the local ski hill and Fat Tuesday!

Cailen and Raylin of David Hoy Elementary School wrote their own poem and put their poem to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to share with all our Tekchako Lakes Radio listeners.

With a nice introduction from Emile and Vivianne of W.L. McLeod School here are Cailen and Raylin singing Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Tree. Thank you Mrs. Gammon for submitting this wonderful song!

Episode #5 of Tekchako Lakes Radio is an excellent news report from Silias and Shaelynn of William Konkin Elementary School with the support of teacher Mr. Beck. Learn about the various fun winter activities happening at WKE including the autumn carnival in support of UNICEF, the crazy jellybean in a plate of whipped cream contest, a volleyball report, pajama and crazy hair day and WKE’s virtue of the month – peacefulness. Our new student reporters are sharpening their pencils (virtual and HB) and cracking open their reporter pads getting ready to capture all the exciting news, activities, events and projects happening at their schools to share with parents, families and friends. School reporters are meeting weekly online for special training with cutting edge podcasting tools and should be ready to share their first segments in the coming weeks.
